Thanks to le_plat_du_jour (this wouldn't be possible without you hon <3)and trappingit , it's working! \o/


It needs some minor mesh tweaking (there's a teeny tiny gap on each side) but it's something very easy. trappingit suggested to make it fuller on the back of the hair and although I moved some vertices to do it, I'm not sure if it's full enough.

Well, next I'll be making it for teens - I don't usually play with teens, but as people will likely want this for their TM sims I'll do it anyway. I'm not going to bother converting this for children and toddlers, but if anyone wants to do it, tell me and I'll send the necessary files. And M2F conversions would be lovely :D

Now I need some volunteer(s) to retexture this. I like Pooklet's V3 textures better for my own game, but everyone is welcome to retexture it as they like. :) So if you'd like to retexture it, just tell!

Right, I wrote this stupid post before but DW ate it so... glennisonfire requested some male hairs from TS3 to be converted to TS2 and as I'd love to have those as well for my game, I decided to give this request a go (posting this here and not at GOS because I don't feel like making a GOS account now) and here's the hair I chose to begin with, amHairShortWavyMessy from basegame:

Let's see if my lolinternet allows me to post this - changed my internet service plan to get a brand new modem but lol it says I have a high speed connection right now but GOOGLE doesn't even loads! Which is actually not so odd because where are they made? Glorious Communist China! Where people work in awful conditions almost like in the times of the Western Industrial Revolution. And you know what's nicer? It's that many countries which seem to advocate the Human Rights make commercial partnerships with China without demanding better conditions for the chinese workers. Thinking about that, it's no surprise that Peggy, Rose and Newsea decided to being paysite whores - better be hated by the whole Sims community than commuting for days wearing diapers because there's no toilet available on the train, right?

Enough of rant, great news: I'm officially graduated now (which actually doesn't make much of a difference, as I'm self-employed in the same area lol), and as a gift my mom promised me a brand new laptop with awesome graphics so I'm very excited for this.  \o/

I guess I should post some pictures of what I've been doing, but as I'm lazy I'll just tell:

1) TS3 conversion to TS2 of afHairLongWavyLayered. Progress: bone-assigned adult female mesh. Might make this hair for all ages, and if it's not a bitch to retexture, use Pooklet's V3 textures. And I'm most interested in defaulting it as Bella Goth's hair.

2) Speaking about defaults, I'm defaulting le_plat_du_jour 's TS3 Femme Hawk, replacing, well, the female mohawk. Have to sort out what are "clone" game files (there's mad stuff like, let's say, tfHairMohawk_red_clone_clone_clone_clone and I'm going LOL WTF IS CLONE_CLONE_CLONE_CLONE?) so I can make defaults for TF and EF. Otherwise, it'll be only for AF. Other thing is that I'd like to use pooklet 's new pallette (because the textures are V3) but most of their new neons are not available yet, I don't want to use older colors that won't make part of the new pallette and I'm stuck with colors that look too much alike (like, HMX as rainbow, Napalm as blue and Shockwave as green, which is not big deal but I'd love to have Pyrodex as green, for example), and also as I'll be using Time Bomb as platinum mirror hair I don't want to use it as gray and then there's only one grey for each Eaxis hair family so I'll have to use dunno, Mail Bomb?

But I could just make the defaults as I'd like them and if people wants some other colors, they can just change the textures themselves. I just don't want to go nuts doing stuff that I won't use at all.

I think that's it. Off to cuddle my boyfriend and my cat while listening to The Dresden Dolls <3
